La Fornace Incubator
The purpose of the La Fornace incubator is to create and disseminate innovation throughout the region. It offers opportunities and support to business plans or to new companies having innovative credentials and preferably operating in the design and communications sector. The structure of Asolo is the only incubator in the Province of Treviso and one of the very few in the Veneto Region.
The building that houses the new firms is part of the main body of the former brickworks (“fornace” in Italian) of Asolo. It is a building of archaeological-industrial value that has recently been restored and currently accommodates: the district head office of Confartigianato Asolo (General Federation of Italian Artisans and Craftsmen), a bank branch, a bar, a conference room and specific exhibition spaces.
The incubator is spread over three floors covering a total surface area of 2,000 square metres divided up into about 20 units of differing sizes equipped to house new businesses. The units have: independent access, bathrooms, hoist, service lift, meeting rooms, training room, parking garage and free outdoor parking facilities. All the units are provided with independent air-conditioning and alarm systems as well as connected to utilities (electricity, gas) and telematic networks (internet and telephone).
